We Americans are a generous people. More than 70 percent of us make charitable contributions during our lifetimes. Yet only six percent will provide ongoing support through wills or estate plans.

Leave a Legacy wants to change that.

Encouraging Legacies...

Newton area Leave a Legacy is part of a licensed national program created by the National Council on Planned Giving and sponsored by Central Kansas Planned Giving Roundtable. The program promotes philanthropy through wills and estate plans. The Newton community was the first in Kansas to offer a Leave a Legacy program.

Through our public education program that encourages planned giving, we seek to bring together communities, donors and estate planning professionals.

Continuing your financial support through estate planning is critical if your favorite charities are to flourish and grow. For years to come.

Educating...

Our annual month-long public education campaign offers a variety of activities to encourage planned giving and to raise awareness of the various planning strategies available to you.

At the heart of the campaign is our Speakers Bureau - professionals who make presentations to local organizations on estate planning. Our speakers include attorneys, financial planners, accountants, estate planners and others with expertise in this area.

Any group may request a speaker. Contact us.

Paving the way...

To help you make decisions regarding your estate planning, we've included a directory of Harvey County 501(c)3 charities that includes useful information on each organization or agency.

Leave a Legacy is not seeking support for any particular group, or for organizations in a specific area. We only want you to realize the potential that lies within each of us to make a startling difference in the lives of others.
